The goal of the NLPA is to fulfill our mission to protect the ecological, recreational, and aesthetic well-being of North Lake. This entails a proactive approach to problems while controlling any potential adverse impacts to the lake. Testing the lake water is an important step for assessing its quality and to help prevent problems before they occur. Lake water testing is an essential tool for diagnosing the cause of any problems and determining suitable treatment options. The water is tested annually independently by certified professionals and community volunteers.
Over the years the lake water has been tested by:
- The Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program (CLMP)
- Freshwater Physicians, Inc.
- Fusilier Studies
*Fish studies have also been conducted periodically
